The Guards Asset Manager allows you to house a comprehensive list of each Device and Cloud Application that your Organization uses to create, access, receive, transmit, or store electronic protected health information. To begin uploading your Devices and Applications, select Assets from the left navigational panel, and then make sure you are on the Devices Tab.
If you have less than 10 Devices, click the Add Device and complete the information and save.
If you have more than 10 Devices use the Device Worksheet to enter all the information for the Devices that can access or store ePHI. You can also access the Worksheet by selecting Bulk Upload and downloading the Worksheet from there.
Once the Worksheet is complete, it can be easily uploaded within The Guard from the Bulk Upload button as well.
Additionally, the Cloud and Application Inventory functions the same way. From the top of the Assets Manager, select Applications.
If you have less than 10 Applications, click the Add Application and complete the information and save.
If you have more than 10 Applications use the Application Worksheet to enter all the information for the Applications that can access or store ePHI. You can also access the Worksheet by selecting Bulk Upload and downloading the Worksheet from there just as you would for the Device Worksheet.
Both the Device Inventory and Cloud and Application Audits cannot be finalized due to adding new assets throughout the year.
